Minneapolis Public Schools (MPS) Headquarters

In Collaboration with Urban Works

“A Sustainable Home”

Home of the MPS district administration headquarters, the John B. Davis Education and Service Center is a 180,000 square foot office facility housing MPS staff, the Northside Welcome Center and the Adult Education Program.  It had been more than fifty years since having a new facility and staff was currently working in space that was inefficient and overcrowded. Meetings with staff explored options for office culture, building amenities and environmental goals as well as intangible goals for being an asset within the community. Completed in 2012, the project achieved LEED-NC Silver certification from the United States Green Building Council.

Location:  Minneapolis, MN

Environment — UDP and UW facilitated visioning sessions to gain understanding of office culture, building amenities and environmental goals which achieved LEED-NC Silver Certification.
