Fatima Adam
Design Sustainability Intern

Fatima Adam's passion for architecture started when she found out she could change her environment. She grew up in a country that was hot and desert-like. There were not a lot of trees, and it rained once a year if they were lucky. She thought nothing could be changed, that's how it is, and it will always be. As she finished high school, she started looking for career fields that interested her and was introduced to architecture. Previously, she thought architects only built buildings and that was their only job. Diving into this field has helped her to see otherwise.

Fatima has an A.A.S. Architectural Drafting and Design from Dunwoody College of Technology and a Liberal Arts degree from Saint Paul College. She started her studies very conscious of her environment and the climate. Focusing on sustainability, she has been slowly working on familiarizing herself with the field and studying it. In the future, she would like to combine sustainability and community action by designing sustainability-conscious homes and communities.

Fatima started with Urban Design Perspectives in Summer of 2022.

Her other interests include reading books, watching architectural documentaries, designing, and editing videos.
