Build, Experiment, Discover! Family STEM Fun Day at the Coliseum

Looking for something fun to do with your kids over spring break in Downtown Longfellow? Join us for a Family STEM Day filled with creativity, curiosity, and hands-on exploration.

Urban Design Perspectives is hosting this special event at S.H.A.K.E. at the Coliseum in partnership with D.I.V.A.S. for Social Justice, The Bakken Museum, 3M Visiting Wizards, and Moon Palace Books.

Architecture blends science, math, and art in the built environment, and this day celebrates the power of innovation and imagination through STEM.

🔬 What to expect

  • Hands-on STEM experiments for kids and families

  • Quick 5-minute demonstrations or deeper activities lasting up to an hour

  • Engineering and design challenges

  • Take-home activities to keep the learning going

📍 Location: Historic Coliseum Building – S.H.A.K.E. at the Coliseum
🚗 Parking: Free parking in the north lot
🚪 Entrance: Doors off 27th Avenue
🏢 Activities: Second floor
